You are always in control of your treatment decisions, and we’ll guide you every step of the way.

New Patient Form

If you didn’t complete your forms online, your visit will begin with 10–15 minutes of paperwork.

These forms help us:

  • Verify your identity
  • Bill your insurance accurately
  • Review your health history
  • Understand your current dental needs

X-Rays for an Accurate Diagnosis

To evaluate your teeth and gums properly, we’ll take a series of dental X-rays. These images allow the dentist to assess areas such as cavities between teeth, bone levels, root health, and other structures that cannot be seen during a visual exam alone. X-rays typically take around 15 minutes and are reviewed before the dentist begins their examination.

Comprehensive Oral Evaluation

Please let the dentist know if you are pregnant or have any medical condition that may affect your dental care.

During your exam, the dentist will review your medical history and perform several checks, including:

  • Oral Cancer Screening: Visual exam of the lips, tongue, cheeks, and throat
  • Gum & Bone Health: Checking for inflammation, recession, bleeding, or periodontal concerns
  • Oral Hygiene Assessment: How well the teeth and gums are being cared for
  • Jaw Joint & Muscle Function: Ensuring proper movement and comfort
  • Cavity Detection: Examining each tooth for signs of decay

We will also take intraoral photos to document findings and help explain your dental condition clearly.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan

After completing the evaluation, the dentist will explain all findings and create a personalized treatment plan based on your needs. Your treatment coordinator will walk you through the recommended procedures, the priority of each treatment, your estimated insurance coverage, and any remaining cost you may be responsible for. While we provide expert guidance, all final decisions about your care remain in your hands.

Same-Day Cleaning & Oral Care Tips

If your oral health allows, we may be able to perform your dental cleaning during the same visit. If urgent concerns need to be addressed first, we’ll schedule the cleaning for a later appointment. When a cleaning is completed, your teeth will be polished and flossed, and you may receive fluoride or sealants if they are beneficial for your oral health. Before you leave, we will also review helpful tips and recommendations to support good oral hygiene at home.

Finishing Your Appointment

When your visit is complete, our dental assistant will guide you to the front desk to schedule your next appointment. Most patients return every six months for their routine check-up and cleaning unless the dentist recommends coming sooner. You will also receive a reminder card to help you keep track of your next visit.
